Dazzle our customers. We seek to delight customers not just with the technical quality of our work but with their entire experience, from initial contact to installation to life in a transformed home. We want every customer to recommend us enthusiastically to their friends and family.
Do it right. We seek to meet (and, when we can, to set) the highest standards of workmanship, installing quality materials so that they perform well for decades to come.
Take care of the planet. We seek not only to reduce energy use but to specify environmentally benign products, minimize waste, and extend the useful life of buildings. As a Tompkins County certified Rebusiness Partner, we are committed to minimizing business and construction waste.
Take care of our people. We seek to develop and retain highly trained and purpose-driven professionals in all positions in our company by providing a safe, fun and rewarding work environment. We are a Living Wage Employer certified by the Tompkins County Workers' Center, and we provide on-going training, health insurance and retirement benefits to our employees.
Never stop learning. We invest in training and research to keep our company at the forefront of the industry. We measure our results and incorporate feedback to continuously improve our operations. Sarah Cox is amazing. She is very Professional and really understands the energy of your home. She listens to your questions and answers in terms the average homeowner can understand. She does a very thorough inspection. Sarah helps to navigate the paperwork and how to obtain the grants needed to help you out. Highly recommend her for your energy needs and concerns for your home.
Sarah was delightful, professional and dedicated to making sure all area's of my home were inspected and taken care of. Albert and Ian did a wonderful job with installing all energy savings measures and the improvements have made a tremendous difference. My home is SO Snug now. Working with Snug Planet has been great, the receptionist is so nice, the work done is perfect. They worked so hard and went above and beyond to get all projects done, cleaned up everything, even vacuuming my stairs for me. Thanks Alot.
Through the whole process everyone that I have come into contact with has been great. Sarah is amazing and always doing as much as she can to help out. The crews that have come in to my home are polite and respectful and have done amazing work at my place
Snug Planet did a home energy audit for us and then installed insulation and sealed the rim joists in our basement. Heather, the young expert who performed the audit, was prompt, professional, and communicated the issues and tradeoffs very clearly. She checked on one possible remedy with a more experienced colleague and determined that it would not be worth the money. I appreciated that. The installation team did a great job and was careful to clean up after. Paul, the team leader, pointed out that some of the spray foam stuck to our basement carpet. He was willing to pay for a replacement, but it’s a ratty old carpet in the basement. No problem. Best of all, our house is now noticeably warmer. Last night I checked our bedroom temperature more than 4 hours after the thermostat had turned off for the night. Even though the outside temp was 38F, the inside temperature had dropped only 2 degrees.
I contacted Snug Planet in mid November regarding a new furnace and they set up an appointment for November 30. They asked if I could wait that long so I'm thinking they could have been here sooner if needed. Sarah came to our home, looked inside and out for safety and efficiency concerns, and gave us recommendations. She was not pushy and did not try to sell us a bunch of fluff. She took information to apply for possible financial incentives that may help via reimbursements. I gave her a check for the furnace and was told they would call with an install date. Sarah called two days later and asked if "tomorrow" would be ok. Albert and Caleb came out today to install the furnace and a programmable thermostat. They also adjusted our gas stove as Sarah had detected a tiny amount of Carbon Monoxide on Monday. They were very friendly and knowledgeable, worked efficiently and insisted on cleaning up after themselves even though I said I had to clean the area anyway. I also want to commend Erica who set up the appointment and spoke with me on a few other occasions. She is friendly and professional and I'm sure does a lot more than answer the phone; thank you, Erica!
I can't recommend Snug Planet enough! Thank you all so very much!!!
(If you need work done and don't think you can possibly afford it, contact them. There are some great incentives and the income guidelines are more lenient than you may think. You can be more comfortable while saving on energy costs and helping the planet.)
