Homeowners throughout Connecticut increasingly are becoming diligent about the construction of their homes. Your home is a system that impacts your family’s health, safety, comfort, energy usage, durability and overall livability of your home. However, many homeowners remain unaware they can take steps to lower costly energy bills. Additionally, a proper evaluation fixes an uncomfortable home. Homeowners can fix those drafty rooms, cold floors, dry rooms, moist basement, poor air quality, drinking water and even mice in the attic!
Solvit Home Services became part of the GreenHomes America network because they align with our vision “Improving Lives And The Environment One Home At A Time”.
At SolvIt, we promote “Home Performance” that evaluates your home as a system vs. individual components. As a result, before your next home project, we recommend homeowners slow down. If you need a new furnace, boiler, heat pump or have questions about your home, take a pause. Talk to an expert about your attic insulation, air sealing or reducing air leakage in your ductwork. Learn if or when an energy audit makes sense for your home and family. Typically, a comprehensive energy assessment provides the foundation to improve your home performance.
The days of the old dial up telephone transitioned to the smartphone. Likewise, home energy and comfort systems transitioned as well. No longer do we recommend “replacing” a component or “adding attic insulation” without knowing the overall effects. Now, we leverage technology and rely on infrared thermal technology, blower door testing and so much more. As a result, you receive better information so you can make an informed and educated decision about improving the investment we all call home.
GreenHomes America is the single unbiased source more homeowners turn to for improving the comfort, livability, air quality, safety, durability and energy efficiency of their homes. And in the process they increase the resale value of their homes.
Dave came and installed a common wire for the NEST thermometer. He was very professional and knowledgeable about what our options were. After we made the choice, he was very efficient and able to install the common wire without the need to drill through the walls. My only complaint is the expensive cost of the service ($670) that the company charges. However, Dave was so outstanding that it partially makes up for the costly expense. Overall, I am satisfied that he was able to install a common wire and we no longer have issues with the NEST thermometer.
I had my furnace and hot water heater maintained today. Everything was fine except on motor needed replacement since it was broken. Everything was done in a professional manner. Even my water was checked for Florine balance and was in good shape.
I had my air conditioner serviced today and everything was done professionally. Freon was added since it was low and had not been added for many years.
Ron was professional and courteous. He knew exactly what to do and answered any question I asked. Very well trained technician, highly recommend him.
Good prompt service. Little expensive, but the expense was explained to me and I doubt it would be cheaper by anyone else. Very happy with the results.
